Sign Design of Florida, Inc. recently completed work on the new Palencia Elementary School in St. Augustine, FL for Mark Construction Company of Longwood, FL. Sign Design fabricated and installed ADA-compliant interior signage and a new illuminated monument sign on the first LEED-certified school in the St. Johns County School District.

JULY 2012

Sign Design recently completed the two (2) signage projects for Pirtle Construction Co. in Orlando. The project was for the SunRidge Elementary School and SunRidge Middle School The project ran as two separate jobs to expedite construction and to open the schools for this coming August 2012 School Year. Two monument signs, over 80 cast aluminum letters and more than 900 interior signs were fabricated and installed for the two projects.

JUNE 2012

Sign Design recently completed the signage project for Valencia College in Lake Nona. The project was the managed by CPPI as the Construction Manager. The Architect was ShenkelShultz. Two (2) new school monument signs, along with over 600 interior signs and directories were fabricated and installed.

MAY 2012

Mid-Florida Signs & Graphics recently completed the new signs for the Institute for Cardiovascular Excellence (ICE) in Ocala, Florida. This new three (3) story building was constructed by Luetgert Development Corporation from Ocala. Mid-Florida Signs fabricated a new lighted monument sign and new reverse LED lighted letters for the exterior of the building on the third floor fascia. Interior signs to ADA standards were also provided for all areas and were designed to coordinate with the interiors.

Xymogen recently moved their operation into a new three (3) story building in Orlando, Florida. The building was built by Schmid Construction, Clermont. Mid-Florida Signs made a new lighted monument sign and reverse LED lighted letters and logo for the front fascia. The monument sign consisted for four coordinating colors and had push-thru acrylic letters on aluminum faces. The logo was over 6’ tall with custom LED lighting to create a halo effect around each of the eight individual pieces.


Mid-Florida Signs recently completed the design and installation of the new Monument Sign for the North Campus of Leesburg Regional Hospital. The sign is now in compliance with the City of Leesburg sign ordinance, meeting the smaller area, set-back and height requirements.


Mid-Florida Signs recently completed the new sign for Olive Garden on East Colonial Drive in front of the Fashion Square Mall in Orlando. The sign was designed and fabricated with all LED lighting in lieu of neon. The LED lighting will reduce their maintenance and operational cost by approximately 50%. Mid-Florida Signs permitted the new sign with an area of 98 square feet, 70 square feet larger than the previous sign and at 18 ft. overall height. Olive Garden has been trying for 15 years to obtain a larger sign at that location.

July 2011

High School

Sign Design of Florida, Inc. recently completed the sign work for the new Lake Minneola High School for the Lake County Schools. Working with a $200,000 Contract through PPI Construction Management, Sign Design fabricated and installed all interior signs, the main identification marquee sign and the athletic scoreboards. Work was all completed on time.

November 2009

Mid-Florida Signs & Graphics has been given approval for a exterior signage rejuvenation project at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL for Citrus Memorial Health System. The project will consist of providing new illuminated channel letters and logo in front of the main entrance, as well as replacing the existing section/zone entrance signage with illuminated cabinet wall signage.

September 18, 2009

Mid-Florida Signs & Graphics passed final inspection on the newly erected pylon sign for the Southgate Shopping Center in Lakeland, FL for Crossman & Company of Orlando, FL. The sign was designed largely by the design division of Publix-the main tenant of the development. Built in 1957, and notable for its appearance in Edward Scissorhands, the center was refurbished this year. For more photos and information, please visit the following links:

Mid-Florida Signs & Graphics has been awarded the contract for signage at Lake High School “BBB” in Minneola, FL by construction manager, PPI Construction Management, Inc. of Gainesville, FL. The project will consist of all typical SREF scope as well as LED scoreboards for the gymnasium and a double-sided RGB (48 x 112) LED electronic message center. All scoreboard and electronic message centers will be coordinated and provided by the High School Park & Recreation-Southeast Region division of Daktronics, Inc. The architect of the project is a joint venture between Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. of Tampa, FL and Johnson, Smith Architects, P.A. (formerly Johnson Peoples Architects, P.A.) of Ocala, FL.
